Agencies Now Have a Shot
Federal judge Terry Doughty blocked the Biden administration’s vaccine mandate against healthcare workers, ironically giving healthcare facilities an actual shot at solving their nursing shortage.
We are pro-vaccine. We are anti-mandate.
We are pro-clinician. We are anti-centralized control.
Good governance requires common sense for the common good.
Vaccines are for the common good. Mandating them is not.
Mandates force people out of the workforce at a time when we desperately need more workers.
We praised nurses for working on the front-lines during the pandemic - the people who survived working in healthcare for year before a Covid vaccine even existed.
Now, the government wants to vilify them for believing they can survive working in a healthcare facility without a vaccine.
Decisions should be made as close to the problem as possible. The White House should focus on the White House. Let healthcare facilities focus on healthcare.
Let them do their job.
At least for now, thanks to Judge Doughty, healthcare providers have a shot.
